About Us
Hazelwood Bloodstock Ltd was established by Adrian and Philippa O’Brien in 2016. Combining Adrian’s experience within the Thoroughbred breeding industry with Philippa’s veterinary skills, we aim to deliver the best possible results for our clients.
We provide a premium boarding service for broodmares and young stock, along with foaling and breeding management. Adrian and Philippa and their family live on site, allowing 24-hour supervision and veterinary care.
We have had great success consigning yearlings on behalf of our clients, topping 6 yearling sales since 2017. At the 2019 Tattersalls Book 1 sale, we consigned the highest priced colt in the world that year, the Dubawi x Alina yearling purchased by Godolphin for 3.6million guineas.
We are now enjoying seeing many of the youngsters raised and grazed here showing success on the racetrack as well as in the sale ring.
Most recently, in 2022, we are proud to have produced two Grade 1 winners in the USA, McKulick (Belmont Oaks) and In Italian (Diana Stakes).
